A Bauder specification for a special school in Ipswich: gutters and details stripped out, a full warm roof system to the gutters with new 60mm FATE insulation, and the field area primed and overlaid with two new layers of Bauderflex membrane.
Thomas Wolsey School is a special school in Ipswich run by the Ormiston Trust. Its 570 square metre roof was failing at the gutters and details, where the survey found rotten timbers, blocked outlets and an old covering that had long since given up, while the field area was sound enough to overlay.

BeforeThe specification, written with Bauder, stripped all of the gutters and details back and rebuilt them as a full warm roof system with new 60mm FATE insulation. The field area was primed and overlaid with two new layers of Bauderflex membrane, and every rooflight was replaced.
Working on a special school with pupils present meant cold applied working where possible, a tightly controlled site and a programme agreed with the school. The trust received a Bauder guarantee on completion.
