Roofing contractors for councils, colleges and universities

Local authorities, further education colleges and universities appoint us under framework and competitive tender. Coventry University, Keele University and South and City College Birmingham are recent examples, and the pre-qualification, insurance, CDM documentation and reporting that public procurement requires are standard for us.

Weekly site inspections and reports from a dedicated contracts manager, variations presented as costed options, and a record of delivering within programme and budget that South and City College put in writing.

Questions

Asked and answered

Which accreditations do you hold?

Constructionline Gold, CHAS, SafeContractor, Achilles, Acclaim and NFRC membership. We are fully insured for all aspects of roofing work and certificates are available on request.

Do you act as principal contractor?

Yes. We have delivered contracts up to £2 million as principal contractor under CDM, with the CPP, RAMS and F10 notification handled by our contracts managers.

Can you work on listed buildings?

Yes. South and City College included Grade II listed buildings, with the specification and detailing agreed with the conservation officer where consent was needed.

How do you handle variations?

As costed options presented to the client for a decision, with the programme impact shown, rather than as a surprise at the final account.

Can you support our capital bid?

Yes. Free surveys, reports and budget costs are provided to estates teams preparing funding submissions.
